Dustin was born and raised in Currituck, North Carolina to his parents Michael and Pamela Boothe. He attended Currituck High School in Grandy, North Carolina. There he starred as a stellar athlete.
     
After graduation from high school, he attended Elizabeth City State University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. At ECSU, he participated in intercollegiate golf. His induction into the ECSU Sports Hall of Fame is the result of his performances as a student athlete.
 
In 2005, he joined the ECSU golf team. He earned the team's number one starting position as a first-year golfer. Dustin held the number one position for four seasons. From 2005 through 2008, he was named golf team captain. In addition, he was voted the team’s most valuable player four years straight.
 
Dustin made various all-tournament teams twelve times with three being championship matches (top five players with the best scores). Five different times he was first place tournament leader. His best personal individual lowest score was sixty-nine (69). Dustin always expressed true sportsmanship throughout his college career. 

After college, he joined Firestone Complete Auto Care in Chesapeake, Virginia where he serves as a Store Manager.
 
He is married to his wonderful wife Courtney Boothe and the proud dad of children Bellamy and Beckett.
