Final Stats

RICHMOND, VA- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings picked up their second conference win of 2007 with a three-game sweep over Virginia Union University (30-19, 30-8, 30-16) Monday evening at Barco-Stevens Hall.

Senior middle hitter Christina Hager led all scorers with a season best 13 kills as ECSU improves to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the CIAA. As a team the Lady Vikings smashed a season high 22 service aces on the undermanned Lady Panthers (0-3, CIAA 0-2). ECSU more than tripled the Lady Panthers in kills (33 to 8) and had a team hitting percentage of just under 40%. In their five victories this season, four have come via a three-game sweep.

The Lady Vikings will return to action this weekend at the annual CIAA volleyball roundup in Fayetteville, NC. At the roundup, ECSU will play five matches over the weekend against the teams from the CIAA Western Division. They will begin on Saturday at 9:00am against Saint Augustine's College at Capel Arena on the campus of Fayetteville State University.
