Men's Basketball Captures First Conference Win

Elizabeth City State University Men's Basketball returned from the winter break in dominant fashion, securing a commanding 82-56 victory over Winston-Salem State. The Vikings (7-5, 1-3 CIAA) were firing on all cylinders as they overwhelmed the Rams with a balanced attack and relentless defense.

Leading the charge was none other than Dericko Williams, who delivered yet another double-double masterpiece with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Williams' presence in the paint was crucial to ECSU's success on both ends of the floor. Supporting him was Jaquantae Harris, who tallied 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists, showing his versatility and efficiency. Reggie Raynor also played a pivotal role, chipping in 12 points and grabbing 4 rebounds to round out the Vikings' top scorers.

The Vikings were efficient offensively, shooting 47.7% from the field and draining an impressive 11 three-pointers. On the boards, ECSU dominated with a 40-32 rebounding edge, further solidifying their control of the game.
