The Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) Vikings improved to 5-2 on the season with a thrilling 87-80 victory over Barton College (5-4) at the R.L. Vaughan Center on December 4, 2024. The Vikings showcased their resilience, overcoming a slow start to secure a well-earned win in front of a raucous home crowd.

After trailing early, ECSU mounted a rally to seize a 32-29 lead heading into halftime. The second half was a high-energy battle, with the Vikings dominating in key moments to hold off the Bulldogs 87-80.
