ELIZABETH CITY, NC-In the first-ever Harbor of Hospitality Classic the Elizabeth City State Men's basketball team would host Lincoln University(CIAA), Kutztown University(PSAC), and East Stroudsburg University (PSAC) for the two-day event, held at the R.L. Vaughan Center.

Day I- The Vikings would face off against the Kutztown Golden Bears, on Friday evening, in the first out of two CIAA/PSAC showdowns. The Vikings' Jaquantae Harris would get in the scorebook with an early layup in the lane. During the first half, the Vikings controlled the game, leading by 9 points at one point. Making good production for the Vikings in the first half was CIAA All-Preseason selection, Jaquantae Harris. He would go into the half with 4 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Tre Richardson and Kris Gardner would knock down two big threes each. Gardner would also add the game-high amount of assists with six. In the second half, Michael Eads would shoot over 66 percent from the field with eight points and adding five rebounds in the half. The Vikings would end up getting outlasted and outscored in this half resulting in Vikings falling to the Golden Bears 84-75.

Day II- Looking to avenge a first-day loss at The Harbor of Hospitality Classic the Elizabeth City State basketball team would get the opportunity to do just that versus East Stroudsburg. The Vikings would be led in this outing by transfer Michael Eads and transfer Reggie Raynor. Eads would have a 13-point night and add seven rebounds, and 4 assists. Raynor would also finish with 13 points and he would add six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. The Vikings would end up faltering late in the second half and dropping the game to the Warriors with a final score of 84-78. 

The Vikings return to action this Wednesday at the R.L. Vaughan Center versus the Mid-Atlantic Christian Mustangs. Tip-off is set for 7 PM.
