ECSU shot 38.3 percent (23 of 60) from the field, 40.7 percent (11 of 27) from behind the arc, and 80 percent (12 of 15) at the line.

Salem University shot 50.9 percent from the field (27 of 53), made 46.4 percent (13 of 28) behind the arc, and went 78.3 percent (18 of 23) at the line.

Senior guard
Zaccheus Hobbs (Maysville, NC) fueled the Vikings offensively with 22 points. Senior forward (Apex, NC) and sophomore guard
D'Andre Barrett rounded-out double-digit scoring for ECSU with 10 points each.Â

Freshman Forward Anthony Dodoo led the Vikings rebounding efforts with six boards.

Tobias Howard led Salem University with 18 points.

Despite not having the best shooting night, the Vikings also struggled to find an answer to defensively stop the Tigers. Salem outscored ECSU 19-6 off Fastbreak points shooting above 50 percent throughout the game.

ECSU continues to see a large portion of its scoring from key players coming off the bench and this bright spot will be something for the Vikings to build on as the season progresses.Â
