Elizabeth City, NC- Senior Forward Joseph Allen named to the BOXTOROW Division II All-American Second Team for his performance this season.

The Miami Gardens. Fl native averaged a double-double this season with 11.8 points per game and 10 rebounds. 

He was named to the All-CIAA Front court team this past February announced at the CIAA Tournament Tip-Off Luncheon.

Week 3 Allen was named CIAA MBB Food Lion Player of the Week after averaging a double-double of 18 points and 13.5 rebounds, with three steals and three assists. He shot 57.1% that week against conference opponents Claflin and Shaw.

Week 14 Allen was earned CIAA MBB Food Lion Defensive Player of the Week after proving that he could be a defensive rebounding machine for the Vikings. He averaged another double-double to pace the Vikings with 12.5 points and 14.5 rebounds; highlighted by 29 boards total (15 defensive rebound) with three blocks and two steals.

Joseph has been a leader on and off the court for this Vikings men's basketball team throughout his journey as a Viking. He represented ECSU MBB as the Lowes Senior C.L.A.S.S Award Candidate this year.
