LINCOLN, PA-The Lincoln University Lions rallied from a seven point halftime deficit to capture a 61-53 win over Elizabeth City State University Wednesday night at Manuel Rivero Hall.

The Vikings committed a season high 24 turnovers in the game which the Lions converted into 23 points for their offense.

The Lions opened the second half on 9-0 run and took a 30-27 lead with 16:57 left in the game. Jermaine Brown snapped the Viking scoring drought with a dunk on ECSU's next possession but the Lions responded, this time with a 9-2 run. That spurt gave Lincoln their largest advantage of the game, 40-31, at the 10:38 mark.

The Vikings' final push of the night went for 9 unanswered and on one of two free throws by DeCarlos Anderson, ECSU knotted the game at 42 with 7 minutes to go.

Lincoln then scored 6 straight until Miykael Faulcon answered with a three-pointer with 5:21 remaining. Kyle Aiken countered for the Lions with a three-ball of his own to push the lead back to six. ECSU was limited to one basket (an Anderson layup) in the final minutes while the Lions were 7-7 from the free throw line to close out the game.

Aiken scored a game high 18 points while Faulcon and Anderson shared team honors for ECSU with 12 points apiece.

The Lions move to 12-6 on the year and 6-2 in the CIAA.

ECSU (9-12, CIAA 2-6) will return to action on Saturday at 4pm against Virginia State University at the RL Vaughan Center.
