HAMPTON, VA- The CIAA has released the pairings and game times for the 2014 CIAA Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, NC.

All games will take place at the Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats beginning on Tuesday. The ECSU women are the #5 Seed while the men hold the #3 Seed out of the CIAA Northern Division.

The Lady Vikings' opponent will be Saint Augustine's University (12-13 overall, #4 CIAA SOUTH) as the two teams will open the 2014 CIAA tournament on Tuesday, February 25th at 10am.

This with be the sixth straight year ECSU will battle the Lady Falcons in CIAA Tournament play. Fifth year head coach Alico Dunk is 2-2 against Saint Augustine's in the conference tournament in Charlotte. Last season, ECSU defeated SAU in the regular season and then went on to top the Lady Falcons 74-68 at the 2013 Tournament. This year ECSU is 0-2 against Saint Augustine's this season with a non-conference setback 57-48 (12/5/13) and a 67-57 loss on January 4th in Raleigh.

On the men's side the Vikings will face the Winston-Salem State Rams in the nightcap on Thursday, February 27th at 9pm. It will be the first meeting of the two teams at the conference tournament since they battled in the Finals in 2012 where the Rams prevailed 62-51.

In their cross division game this season on January 9th in Elizabeth City, the Vikings defended their home court with a 72-68 win. WSSU (16-10) enters this year's tournament as the Southern Division's #2 Seed.
