ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Vikings won their third straight game with a 106-49 victory over Virginia University of Lynchburg Saturday night as the RL Vaughan Center.
VUL's only lead of the evening came on the game's opening basket. ECSU blew the game open with a 23-1 run which broke a 4-4 tie that came at the 17:49 mark. The Dragons were without a field goal for nearly eight minutes until a jumper by Lawrence Robinson with 10:13 left in the first half broke their scoring drought.
ECSU led 62-29 at the intermission. Miykael Faulcon who scored 13 of the Vikings first 17 points finished with 16 points while DeCarlos Anderson led all scorers with 20 points.
Hakeem Anthony was the Dragon's high man with 15 points. The Vikings hit 100 points at the 4:20 mark and their largest lead of the night was a 58 spread with 3:47 remaining.
The Vikings will return to action tomorrow vs. The Apprentice School at 4pm at the RL Vaughan Center.
