On the Broncos ensuing possession Juwan Addison's three-pointer proved to be the go ahead score that his team would not relinquish. The Viking pulled within a point on a layup by Dominique Byrd at the 1:24 mark, but after one of two free throws by Tate, ECSU trailing by a bucket, turned the ball over putting the Broncos back on the line for another free throw and a 64-61 advantage.
