Final Stats
ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Senior guards Angelo Sharpless and Quintin Spady combined for 42 points in Elizabeth City State University's 77-56 win over The Apprentice School Saturday evening at the RL Vaughan Center.
Spady hit 5 of his 6 three pointers in the first half in route to a season best 18 points. Sharpless scored 16 of his team high 24 points in the second half and collected his second double-double in the last three games, adding 13 rebounds on the evening.
The lead changed hands three times in the first half but the Vikings managed to squeeze out a 33-29 halftime lead. ECSU opened the second half on a 9-1 run and would hold a double digit lead the rest of the way. Glenn Patterson chipped in 12 points off the bench for the Vikings.
Tevin Andrews paced the Builders with a game high 28 points, the only one to net double digits for NN-Apprentice (3-3).
