SALISBURY, NC- Angelo Sharpless scored a game high 19 points in Elizabeth City State University's 67-63 win over Livingstone College Thursday evening at New Trent Gymnasium.
The game saw six lead changes in the opening minutes of the second half but ultimately the contest would be decided in the waning seconds.
With 5 ticks remaining and ECSU leading 65-63, Livingstone's Greg Henry missed two potential game tying shots from the free throw line. Sharpless was fouled on the ensuing rebound and was sent to the line where he sank two shots to seal the game.
Omar Jones and Glenn Patterson rounded out ECSU's double figure scorers, tying their season highs with 17 and 14 points, respectively.
The Vikings were outrebounded by the Blue Bears 35-28 but managed to score 17 points off of Livingstone turnovers.
