CHARLOTTE, NC- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association has released its 2011 men's and women's tournament bracket; returning to its six-day format- with the addition of Lincoln University (PA) and Winston-Salem State University.

TV One will continue its partnership with the CIAA, airing the men's quarterfinals and semi-finals live, while ESPN will joining the team for Saturday's men's championship game; live on ESPNU and ESPN3 (Web).

The Lady Vikings captured the 2011 CIAA Northern Division crown and a first round bye. They will begin play in the CIAA Quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:00pm versus the winner of the first round matchup between St. Augustine's College and Virginia Union University. ECSU dropped at 69-64 decision to St. Augustine's on January 20th in Elizabeth City and swept their season series with Virginia Union 54-39 (2/5) and 67-42 (2/23).

The ECSU men's basketball team finished in third place in the CIAA North and will open tournament play on Wednesday, March 2 at 5:00pm against Saint Augustine's College. The Vikings took the regular season meeting between the two teams, topping the Falcons 71-57 in Elizabeth City.
