LAWRENCEVILLE, VA- The Saint Paul's College Tigers earn a season spilt with a 74-71 win over Elizabeth City State University Saturday afternoon at the Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium.
The Vikings had an opportunity to tie the game with 15 seconds remaining but DeJuan Morrison's lay-up rolled off the rim and Anthony Wynn secured the defensive board to give the Tigers possession with .3 seconds left. Wynn then made one of two free throws for the final point spread.
The Vikings, who fall to 1-4 in the Eastern Division this season, out-rebounded the Tigers 60-34. Anthony Hilliard, who fouled out with just under a minute to play, finished with game highs of 33 points and 13 rebounds, his 52nd career double-double.
Bruce Royal led Saint Paul's (6-15, CIAA 3-11) with a team high 25 points.
