Final Stats
BOWIE, MD- Bowie State University had four players in double figures in a 78-66 win over Elizabeth City State University Tuesday night at A.C. Jordan Arena.
The loss is the Vikings' first since January 12, 2008 when they dropped a three-point decision at Virginia State.
The Vikings shot a season low 32 % from the field and trailed the Bulldogs by 19 points with 4:13 remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs led the Vikings 41-30 at the break.
ECSU did manage to trim the Bulldog advantage to seven (53-46) with 13:31 remaining but as they continued to struggle to find their shot, BSU was able to regain and maintain a double digit lead for the remainder of the contest.
Davis Paris scored a team high 20 points as BSU improves to 19-7 overall and 13-5 in CIAA play. Anthony Hilliard paced ECSU, also scoring 20 points before fouling out of his third game of the season.
