ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Anthony Hilliard topped all players with 30 points and 12 rebounds as the Elizabeth City State Vikings defeated Saint Augustine's College 79-64.
In a solid all-around performance the Fayetteville, NC native also added four assists, two steals and two blocks. In a dominating second half by ECSU, Hilliard was virtually unstoppable, scoring 18 points after the halftime. The win extends the Vikings' win streak to twelve games and they remain perfect at home boasting an 11-0 mark at the R.L. Vaughan Center. Olajuwon Johnson and Anthony Butler scored 15 and 13 points, respectively and ECSU won the battle of the boards by ten, 45-35.
Hayward Fain led the Falcons (15-7, CIAA 11-5) with 14 points while Justin Dickens chipped in with a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.
ECSU (19-4, CIAA 12-3) will look to close out their home season on a high note when the welcome Virginia state University to the R.L.
