Final Stats

SALISBURY, NC- Elizabeth City State All-American Anthony Hilliard tallied 25 points and 13 rebounds as the Vikings captured a 65-54 road win over Livingstone College Thursday evening at New Trent Gymnasium.

Hilliard scored 14 of his points in the first half yet the Vikings held a slim one point lead (27-26) at the intermission. In the second half ECSU was able to muster some breathing room after the Blue Bears began the half cold from the floor. The Vikings also got a big lift off the bench from Jamier Bush who scored all 10 of his points in the second stanza. In the low scoring affair only on Livingstone player landed in double figures courtesy of Keith Darden's 10 points.

ECSU, who never trailed in contest, was never seriously threatened in the second half and were able to maintain a double digit lead for most of that duration.

ECSU will hold their first home game of the 2008-09 season when they host Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on Saturday at the RL Vaughan Center. Game time is scheduled for 7:30pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
