ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Lady's Bowling Team currently has openings for additional members for the 2020-21 athletic season. Do you have experience bowling or would you like instruction to learn more about bowling? If so, here's your opportunity to possibly represent Elizabeth City State University by becoming a member of our team.
The women's bowling team is led by Head Coach Michael Hawkins. Coach Hawkins is entering his second season at the helm of the bowling program with expectations to motivate and develop our student-athletes on and off the lanes.
Students must hold a minimum of a 2.5 GPA and be in good academic standing with the university to join our team. If you are offered a position on our team, you will be required to register with the NCAA, submit a recent physical to our medical staff, and present results of a sickle cell screening.
There will be no competitions during the fall semester, but we will begin team practices in November upon approval from our governing bodies. At this time, the date of competitions are TBD due to COVID-19.
We are primarily looking for these attributes in potential team members:

-
If no league experience, past experience bowling will be considered and evaluated.
-
Past experience as a high school or college athlete, not planning to be a dual-athlete here at ECSU.
