Cross Country Announces 2019 Schedule

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Elizabeth City State University cross country coachÂ
Daphnie Johnson announced the 2019 Viking schedule on Wednesday, June 26; challenging the Vikings with competition from Division I and Division II ranks.

"When formulating a schedule, I always try to challenge our student-athletes. In my years of coaching, our student-athletes have always stepped up to the competition level that they face and I expect that again this year. We are looking forward to the opportunity to face these teams" Coach Johnson said.

The Vikings will start their campaign at Virginia State for the Virginia State University Cross Country Opener on September 6
th. ECSU will then travel back to VSU for the Virginia State Trojan Cross Country Invite on September 20
th.

ECSU will take a two-week break before traveling to Charlotte on October 11
th to compete in the Royals Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University. The Vikings will then travel to Greenville to compete in the East Carolina Pirate Invitational on October 18
th. ECSU will wrap up their 2019 schedule by competing in the CIAA Championships in Salem, Virginia on October 24
th.
