LINCOLN, Pa. – Elizabeth City State picked up a road win on Wednesday evening, defeating Lincoln (Pa.) 60–50 in CIAA action at Manuel Rivero Hall.
The Vikings set the tone early, opening the game on a 20–12 first-quarter run and never relinquishing control. ECSU led by as many as double digits and used balanced scoring, strong interior play, and disciplined defense to secure the victory.
Jada Clark led all scorers with 18 points, shooting an efficient 7-of-12 from the field while adding six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 34 minutes. Tionna Pettus followed with 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while Karina Scott chipped in eight points, knocking down two three-pointers.
Elizabeth City State dominated the paint, outscoring Lincoln 40–22 inside, and capitalized on turnovers for 16 points. The Vikings also finished with 34 total rebounds and received 18 points from the bench.
Lincoln attempted to close the gap in the second quarter, but ECSU responded with strong third-quarter play, shooting 50 percent from the field to maintain separation. The Vikings sealed the game at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, converting all seven attempts.
Elizabeth City State improves to 4–13 overall and 1–7 in CIAA play, while Lincoln falls to 2–16 overall and 0–8 in conference action.
