BOWIE,MD- The Elizabeth City State women's basketball team (15-9, 7-6 CIAA, 5-1 North) secured a convincing win over the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State (11-11, 5-7 CIAA, 0-5 North) and earned the top position in the CIAA northern division. The contest was held on Saturday afternoon at the A.C. Jordan Arena in Bowie, Maryland.
The Vikings' Dy'Jhanik Armfield was the top scorer of the game, contributing 22 points, 5 rebounds and a block, while NyAsia Blango followed up her 9-point performance at UNC Pembroke with a 19-point game and 7 rebounds.
Following this triumph, the Lady Vikings now hold a 5-1 record in the northern division, placing them at the top of the CIAA divisional standings.
The Lady Vikings will return to the court on Wednesday, February 14, to face off against the Lincoln (PA) Lions at the R.L. Vaughan Center. Tipoff is at 5:30 pm.
