Box Score 2 RALEIGH, N.C. – THE ECSU Lady Vikings defeated Winston-Salem State 10-4 in their first game of day, before falling to Claflin 6-1 in the night cap.

Karrigan Belangia singled scoring sophomore
Sikia Korneagy. The Lady Vikings tacked on four more runs two innings later as Belangia recorded her first career grand slam to push the Vikings lead to 5-0.
The Rams tacked on three runs in the top-half of the fourth to cur their deficit to two, 5-3.
In the bottom half of the fifth
Isabel Mugaas took the WSSU pitcher yard for a two-run home run before Senior
Cheyan Brasseur scored a few batters later when junior
Kennedi Williams reached safely on an error.
In the bottom of the sixth, Mugaas tacked on two more RBI's as Belangia and Korneagy scored. In top-half of the sixth, the Rams got a solo homerun from Alleshia Pullen before the Vikings got the next three out to secure the 10-4 victory.
Senior
Casie Wright earned her second victory of the year on the mound.
In the night cap with Claflin, ECSU's only run came in the first inning when Belangia singled to left field and Korneagy scored. Claflin ended the day plating six runs on 12 hits.
The Lady Vikings move to 2-11 and 1-1 in CIAA play. They return to action Saturday at 12:20 pm as they take on Johnson C. Smith and then Fayetteville State at 3:00 pm. Both games will be played at the Walnut Creek Softball complex in Raleigh.
