CHARLOTTE, NC- Imani Heggins and Jalyn Brown have been named to the CIAA post season honor roll as released on Monday afternoon.

Junior forward Imani Heggins has been named to the 2016 All-CIAA Women's Basketball team while freshman guard Jalyn Brown has been voted to this year's All-Rookie Team. Both teams were selected by the conference's Head Coaches and Sports Information Directors.

This past season Heggins, a native of Chesapeake, VA was named the CIAA Newcomer of the Week four times as the Lady Vikings top scorer at 14.5 points per outing. She led ECSU in scoring in 12 games while her average ranked 8th overall in the CIAA. Her best individual performance came against Wilmington University on January 3rd with a career high 29 points. She also had seven double-doubles on the year.

Jalyn Brown was one of the conference's most consistent freshmen this season as she was named CIAA Rookie of the Week five times. Her 11.0 ppg average ranked third overall for the Lady Vikings and 19th overall in the CIAA, the best of any freshman this season. She scored a season high 24 points in ECSU's 73-61 victory over Saint Augustine's on December 17th and led the Lady Vikings in scoring in five games.

The Lady Vikings will begin CIAA Tournament play on Tuesday afternoon at 2:20pm against Johnson C. Smith University.
