CHARLOTTE, NC- Two members of the Elizabeth City State University women's basketball team have been named to the CIAA Weekly Honor Roll.

For the second time this season, Imani Heggins and Jalyn Brown have been honored respectively as the CIAA Newcomer and Rookie of the Week.

Imani Heggins, a junior guard who hails from Chesapeake, VA, scored a season-high 29 points in the Lady Vikings' road win over Wilmington University. She also notched double digits against Johnson C. Smith with 14 points on January 9th.

Williamston, NC native Jalyn Brown continues to impress as one of the CIAA's top rookies as she tallied double figures all three ECSU games last week. Her 17 points versus Johnson C. Smith led all scorers and she topped the evening off with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Lady Vikings will return to action on Saturday at 2pm against Chowan University at the RL Vaughan Center.
