HAMPTON, VA- Two members of the Elizabeth City State University women's basketball team were recognized with CIAA weekly honors as released by the conference office Monday afternoon.

ECSU senior guard Shatara Jackson has been named the CIAA women's basketball Player of the Week. In ECSU's 96-86 win over nationally ranked Shaw University, Jackson scored a career best 29 points, blocked three shots and dished out seven assists.

She followed that with a 25 point outing in a 70-60 win over Saint Augustine's. For the third time this season head coach Alico Dunk has been named CIAA Coach of the Week. Now in his fourth season, Dunk has guided the Lady Vikings to a 10-3 overall record and they sit in first place in the CIAA Northern Division.
