Final Stats

SALISBURY, NC- Stephanie Harper scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Elizabeth City State University toppled Livingstone College 64-44 Thursday night at New Trent Gymnasium.

Although Harper was the only Lady Viking to net double figures, five of her teammates scored at least 6 points in their first CIAA road game of the season.

The Lady Vikings led the entire game. In the first half with 8:41 remaining ECSU took a 20-8 lead on a layup by Stephanie Harper. Livingstone closed the half on a 12-5 run trailed ECSU 25-20 at the intermission.

The Lady Vikings opened the second half on a 6-0 run, pushing the lead to double digits, 31-20 with 16:16 left to play. Livingstone faced a double digit deficit the rest of the way and was limited to just 28% shooting for the game. In the second half the Lady Vikings shot 14-21 from the field and defensively shut Livingstone down, yielding just 23% (7-30 shooting).

The Lady Vikings dominated the paint, out-scoring Livingstone 38-20 and got 25 points off Lady Blue Bear turnovers.

Cierra York led Livingstone (5-8, CIAA 1-3) with 13 points, the only Lady Blue Bear to net double figures.
