ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Elizabeth City State University placed four players in double figures in a 79-48 blowout of Washington Adventist University Thursday night at the RL Vaughan Center.

The Lady Vikings move to 7-1 on the year and complete a season sweep of Washington Adventist who remains winless on the year at 0-7.

Vanessa Rice scored 14 points of the bench for the Lady Shock on the losing effort.

Jasmine Whitehurst had her best all around performance of the year scoring a season best 14 points along with 4 assists, 6 rebounds a block and 5 steals in just 24 minutes. Three other Lady Vikings tallied double figures; Shatara Jackson netted 13 points while DaShera Boone and De'Rya Wylie chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively. The Lady Vikings led the entire game, a contest that was essentially over at the half with ECSU up 43-21.

The Lady Vikings dominated points in the paint 58-14 and scored 40 points off of Lady Shock miscues. ECSU opened the game on an 18-2 run and never looked back. Their lead ballooned to as much a 35 point spread with 12:15 left in the game.
