SALISBURY, NC- Wykeemia Gray posted her first career double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds as Elizabeth City State University captured a 70-59 win over Livingstone College Thursday at New Trent Gym.
Gray's 14 point, 18 board performance also represented career highs for the Pantego, NC native. Stephanie Harper also tallied a double-double, her fourth of the season, with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lady Vikings built a double digit lead in the first half and held a 39-25 led at the break. ECSU dominated the second half by shooting a solid 51% from the field while holding the Lady Blue Bears to 14-43 shooting over the same span. ECSU won both the rebounding edge 51-44 and the battle in the paint 32-22. They also posted a season high 8 blocks as a team.
Livingstone was paced by Kelcyn Manurs who scored a career high 32 points off the bench. The Lady Blue Bears slip to 4-8 overall on the year.
DeAudra Brown had a season best 14 points while Whitney Gray chipped in with 11 points.
