ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings swept their season series over Lincoln University of Pennsylvania with a 56-39 win Tuesday night at the RL Vaughan Center.
On January 22, ECSU prevailed 66-60 in overtime in on Lincoln's home floor.
The 39 points scored by the Lady Lions on Tuesday night was the fewest allowed by the Lady Vikings this season. ECSU held a 27-17 lead at the intermission and forced 29 turnovers, their second best defensive effort of the year. Lincoln's miscues surrendered 27 points to the Lady Vikings.
The Lady Vikings opened the second half on an 18-2 run to put the game out of reach. Kenyatta Gill posted her sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Stephanie Harper chipped in with 11 points, accounting for ECSU's double figure scorers.
DeJuana Mosley led Lincoln with a team high 10 points. The Lady Lions fall to 2-18 overall and 1-12 in the CIAA.
