HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State forward Crystal Smith has been named CIAA Women's Rookie of the Week as released from the conference office Monday afternoon.

As the Lady Vikings posted wins over Bowie State, Virginia Union and Lincoln last week, Smith averaged 10.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. In their road win over Virginia Union she scored a team high 18 points. The Farmville, NC native has started the last 10 games for ECSU and the Lady Vikings riding a season high 4-game win streak.
