HAMPTON, VA- Two members of the Elizabeth City State University women's basketball team were honored by the CIAA when its weekly honor roll was released Monday afternoon.

ECSU freshman guard DaShera Boone has been named CIAA Rookie of the Week after her 11 point, 3 assist performance in the Lady Vikings win over Saginaw State on November 27 at the Chik-Fil-A Classic hosted by Virginia State University. Second year coach Alico Dunk has been tabbed as the CIAA Coach of the Week after guiding ECSU to three straight wins after a 0-2 start. This past weekend ECSU notched victories over Claflin University and Saginaw State.

The Lady Vikings (3-2) will return to action at the Ben Waterman Classic hosted by Central State University in Wilberforce, OH December 3-4. They will face Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday at 1:00pm and Central State on Saturday at 4:00pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com
