JACKSON LEADS LADY VIKINGS PAST CLAFLIN 75-59

PETERSBURG, VA- Shatara Jackson scored a season and game high 21 points as the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings picked up a 75-59 win over Claflin University at the Chik-Fil-A Classic hosted by Virginia State University.

Stephanie Harper collected her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 boards while Kenyatta Gill chipped in with 12 points.

The Lady Vikings dominated the paint with a decisive 48-34 rebounding edge. ECSU grabbed 17 offensive boards in the contest which led to a 16-2 advantage in second chance points. With the win over the Lady Panthers, ECSU evens its season record to 2-2 overall.

Natalie Davis scored a team high 15 points for the Lady Panthers as Claflin drops to 1-2 on the year.
