HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State's Kenyatta Gill has been named CIAA Newcomer of the Week as released by the CIAA Office Monday morning.

This marks the fifth time this season Gill has received the Newcomer award from the CIAA.

Gill averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds in the Lady Vikings' two wins over Lincoln (Pa.) University and Chowan University last week. In the victory over the Hawks she posted 14 points and 14 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. The Mobile, AL native averages a team best 13.3 points per game which ranks 9th in the CIAA. The Lady Vikings have won five of their last six games.
