Final Stats

CHARLOTTE, NC- The Saint Augustine's College Lady Falcons rode and 18-point halftime lead to an 86-58 victory over Elizabeth City State in the first round of the 2009 CIAA Basketball Tournament.

The Lady Vikings, who were swept in all three meetings with the Lady Falcons (13-13) this season finish the season at 6-22 overall. Saint Augustine's placed four of their starters in double figures with All-CIAA guard Allison Sykes leading the way with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Whitney Griffis score 13 points off the bench for SAC.

ECSU was out-rebounded by their opponent 59 to 32 which led to a decisive 26-7 edge in second chance point. SAC also shot 83% (25-30) from the free throw line to 57% (16-28) percent for ECSU. Kearah Jefferys scored a game high 17 points.
