LADY FALCONS PULL AWAY LATE; DEFEAT LADY VIKINGS 65-57

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Saint Augustine's College freshman tandem of Allison Sikes and LaKiesha White each tallied double-doubles as the Lady Falcons defeated Elizabeth City State 65-57 Thursday night at the R.L. Vaughan Center.

Sikes totaled 15 points and 12 rebounds, White added 14 points and 10 boards while fellow freshman Whitney Griffis chipped in with 13 points in the eight point win. In the first half the two teams played to a 26-26 tie. The Lady Falcons (17-8, CIAA 12-4) were able to break the tie behind the second half play of Sikes, who scored 13 of her points after the intermission. The Lady Vikings struggled from the floor throughout the game finishing a dismal 30% from the field on the night.

Celeste Trahan led all scorers with game highs of 21 points and 16 rebounds before leaving the game late in the second half due to an injury.
