Final Stats
PETERSBURG, VA- Virginia State University improved to 5-8 and picked up the first CIAA win of the year at the expense of the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings 56-43 Saturday afternoon at Daniel Gymnasium.
The Lady Vikings suffered their third consecutive defeat and drop to 6-7 overall and 1-5 in the CIAA.
After a competitive first half which was tied at 23 points at halftime the Lady Trojans outscored ECSU in the second half 33-20 in the thirteen point victory. Eugena Carson paced the Lady Trojans with a team high 10 points.
Celeste Trahan and Christina Hager scored 11 points each for the Lady Vikings in the loss.
