Price, a native of Washington, DC, was last season's CIAA Defensive Player of the Year and could be poised to receive the honor again this year. She entered this week ranked at number one with an average of 4.9 steals per game. The with her 7 thefts in the Lady Vikings' win over Chowan College Tuesday night, Price increased her average to 5.1. She also ranks 55th in the nation in assists, an average of 4.p per contest.
Other Lady Vikings ranking in NCAA Division II Statistics this week are Celeste Trahan, Tiffany Smith, Ashley Bowman and DeAnna Chestnut. Trahan is 5th in rebounds, 23rd in scoring 13th in blocked shots and 40th in field goal percentage. Smith also ranks in field goal percentage at 27th while Bowman and Chestnut post for steals (45th) and assist (86th), respectively.
