HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State University junior center Celeste Trahan has been named CIAA Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Last week, the Lady Vikings posted a 2-0 record with victories over Shaw University 87-62 and Livingstone College 91-79. The victory over Shaw last Tuesday in Raleigh gave ECSU their first win over the Lady Bears since 2002 and was Shaw's first loss on their home court in four years. Trahan leads the CIAA in scoring and blocks, ranks second in rebounding, is third in field goal percentage and ninth in steals. The Lady Vikings (8-4) are currently in first place in the CIAA Eastern Division and are undefeated in conference play.

ECSU will return to action on Tuesday, January 16th as part of a CIAA double header against Saint Augustine's College at the RL Vaughan Center. Game time is slated for 5:30pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
