ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings are now at 7th in the latest South Atlantic Region Rankings, released on February 22, 2006.

ECSU moves up two places from the #9 slot on last week. Other CIAA teams ranked in the South Atlantic are Shaw University at #2 and North Carolina Central University at #4. Currently the Lady Vikings are in second place in the CIAA Eastern Division and sport a CIAA record of 12-3, overall 18-8. They will wrap up they regular season at home on Saturday vs. Virginia Union University at 1:00pm before traveling to the 2006 CIAA Tournament in Charlotte, NC next week.
