LADY VIKINGS FALTER AT CLAYTON STATE 86-69

MORROW, GA- The Clayton State Lady Lakers upended the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings 86-69 in the final game of the Wachovia Tip-Off Classic Sunday afternoon on the campus of Clayton State University.

Offensively the Lady Vikings struggled from the field shooting a dismal 35% for the game. They also committed 31 turnovers that were converted into 44 points for the Lady Lakers. Clayton State would build a cushion of as many as 23 points in the second stanza courtesy of explosive play from Sharon Wiles and Crystal Brown who in the second half scored 14 and 12 points, respectively. ECSU was paced by Celeste Trahan who collected her second double-double in as may games with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Junior Tiffany Smith added 13 points while Clayton State had four players register in double figures led by 18 each from Wiles and Brown.
