BOWIE, Md. -- The Elizabeth City State women's tennis team delivered a strong weekend performance on March 7, earning a pair of victories with a 4–0 sweep of Bowie State University and a 4–3 win over Shippensburg University.

The Vikings opened the day with a dominant showing against Bowie State, controlling both singles and doubles play.
In singles competition,
Kala Price set the tone at the No. 1 position with an 8–2 victory over Nakari Blunt.
Reichel Freytes followed with an 8–1 win at No. 2 singles, while
Nadhira Durham and
Marley Renner each posted commanding 8–0 victories at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots.
Elizabeth City State also dominated doubles play. The tandem of Durham and Freytes secured a 5–0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Price and Renner added a convincing 6–0 victory at No. 2 doubles to help seal the shutout.

Later in the day, the Vikings battled past Shippensburg in a tightly contested matchup to complete the weekend sweep.
Price earned a key point at No. 1 singles with a 6–2, 7–5 victory over Marlevich. Freytes added another crucial win at No. 2 singles, rallying after dropping the first set to defeat Koganti 6–7, 6–4, 10–7 in a third-set tiebreak.
Renner also delivered a pivotal point for the Vikings, winning at No. 4 singles 7–6, 6–2.
Elizabeth City State secured the doubles point early with wins from the teams of Freytes and Durham (6–1 at No. 1 doubles) and Price and Renner (6–3 at No. 2 doubles).
With the two victories, the Vikings showed strong depth throughout the lineup, with multiple players contributing key wins across singles and doubles competition.
