CHARLOTTE, NC – Elizabeth City State University sophomore safety Solomon Ford was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Defensive Back of the Week, Tuesday afternoon. The honor came after he put on a dynamic effort for the Vikings last week.

The Charlotte, North Carolina sophomore put on a tackling clinic for the Vikings when the team took on the Virginia Union Panthers. He finished the game with nine total tackles (three solo).

Ford and the Vikings will be back in action this weekend when the team hosts the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions in a Homecoming match up.
