ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Elizabeth City State University football standout Terrance Holland has been named the College Football Network (CFB Network) NCAA Division II Player of the Week following an electrifying performance in the Vikings' 35-21 Homecoming victory over Lincoln University (Pa.) on Saturday, October 10, at Roebuck Stadium.
Holland wasted little time making his presence felt, returning the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown to give the Vikings an immediate 7-0 advantage. Just minutes later, the dynamic wide receiver struck again, hauling in a 40-yard touchdown pass from Troy Smith to extend ECSU's lead to 14-0.
Holland's explosive contributions on offense and special teams helped propel the Vikings to their first victory of the 2026 season, while showcasing his versatility and big-play ability on the national stage.
The versatile playmaker finished the afternoon with 43 receiving yards on two receptions, 112 kickoff return yards, and nine rushing yards. He later blocked an extra-point attempt, further highlighting his all-around performance.
Holland and the Vikings will look to carry their momentum into their next Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) match up when they travel to Fayetteville State University on Saturday, October 17, for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
