SALISBURY, N.C. -- Elizabeth City State dropped a 62–51 CIAA road contest to Livingstone on Monday night at William Trent Gymnasium. The Vikings led 30–28 at the break but struggled offensively in the second half, shooting just 22.9 percent after halftime as the Blue Bears outscored ECSU 34–21 over the final 20 minutes.
Jaquantae Harris led all Vikings with 14 points off the bench, while Donovan Flamer added 12 points and five rebounds. Trevor Smith chipped in nine rebounds and two steals, and ECSU finished with a slight edge in points in the paint (28–22) and fast break points (12–4). However, cold shooting from the field (32.8 percent) and the free throw line (5-of-12) proved costly.
Livingstone was paced by Kenneth Tyree's game-high 17 points, with Jeremiah Mobley adding 14 off the bench and Jacob Hunkins contributing 11. The Blue Bears capitalized at the stripe, going 17-of-23 from the free throw line, and received 33 points from their bench to secure the conference win.
ECSU moves to 2–10 overall and 1–6 in CIAA play, while Livingstone improves to 7–9 overall and 4–3 in the conference.
