SANFORD, N.C. -- The Elizabeth City State golf team gained valuable early-season experience at the Rodeo at the Ridge, hosted by Fayetteville State at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Sanford, N.C. The Vikings competed against a strong field that featured regionally ranked programs and perennial CIAA contenders.

Freshman Walter Bailey paced ECSU with a three-round total of +26 (245), highlighted by a steady closing round of 5-over-par 76 on Tuesday. Senior Demetrius Bradford followed with a final-round 78 to finish at +39 (258) overall, showing his ability to bounce back after a tough second round.

Rounding out the lineup, Patrick Dail (319), Jeremy Martin (341), and Cooper Kresecki (355) all gained course reps and helped secure a team finish at +234.

Head Nicholas Sanders noted the tournament as a learning opportunity, emphasizing growth and development as the team continues through the fall slate.
