LELAND, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State Golf Team wrapped up the opening two rounds of the CIAA Golf Championship at Magnolia Green Golf Club on Monday afternoon.

ON THE COURSE

ECSU posted their best two rounds of the season in the opening rounds of the CIAA Championship.  The Vikings posted an opening round 373 before taking eight strokes off to post a 365 in the second round.

Walter Bailey leads the Vikings in a tie for 22nd after an opening round 81.  Bailey would improve to post a 76 to tie a season best.

Patrick Dail carded a 91 in the opening round before slipping to a 99 in the second round.  Benjamin Turner would match his season-best score after a 98 in the opening round to shoot 96 in the second round.

Jeremy Martin battled back after an opening round 103 to shoot 94.  Keaton Turrentine finished the opening day with 129-111.
