CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) released the 2025 All-CIAA Women's Tennis honors prior to the CIAA Championship on Friday morning.
Reichel Freytes, Valencia Venezuela native, earned All-CIAA honors after a strong season as the Lady Vikings' No. 1 singles player. Freytes produced six wins in CIAA play at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Freytes is among five other players from the Northern Division, which includes the CIAA Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year.
Bluefield State and Shaw, Northern/Southern Division champion, respectively, led the All-CIAA team with three members each, Ekin Ozmen (CIAA Player of the Year), Adrianna Torroba, and Raajitha Kogantti from Bluefield State, while Marija Ristanovic, Preana Koirala, and Anja Antonijevic were named for Shaw. Head Coach Tim Dunford of Bluefield State was named CIAA Coach of the Year.
Semmie Moore (WSSU), Divija Manneni (JCSU), Alexcie Burrows (VSU), Monica Castaldo (Livingstone), and Nakari Blunt (CIAA Rookie of the Year, Bowie State) rounded out the team with Reichel Freytes.
