Tennis Prepares for CIAA Quarterfinals

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State women's tennis team is scheduled to compete against Johnson C. Smith in the quarterfinals of the CIAA tournament on April 26 in Petersburg, Virginia. The match will start at noon.

This will be the second time these two teams meet this season. In their first encounter during the CIAA round-up earlier this season, JCSU defeated the Vikings 4-1. However, the Vikings are hoping to turn the tables in their upcoming game, and they will rely on the skills of Marley Renner, a returning All-CIAA performer, as well as Kennedy Rollins, Juelle St. Clair, Ashna Mahtani, and Naomi Joseph.

This year's CIAA quarterfinals will be the first post-season competition under the guidance of the new head coach, Cyril Dash. The Vikings have had their best overall record in three seasons and are eager to continue their success.
