Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Vikings put on an impressive performance at home ousting Mid-Atlantic Christian University 87-57.
ECSU shot 60.3 percent (38 of 63) from the field, 46.7 percent (7 of 15) from behind the arc, and 50 percent (4 of 8) at the line.
Mid-Atlantic Christian University shot 39.2 percent from the field (20 of 51), made 25.9 percent (7 of 27) behind the arc, and went 62.5 percent (10-16) at the line.
Senior guard
Zaccheus Hobbs (Maysville, NC) led the Vikings in scoring with 14 points, going 4-7 from the three-point land and sophomore big man
Deandre Wilkins (Edenton, NC) spearheaded the Vikings rebounding efforts with seven boards.
Kevin Fletcher led the Mustangs in scoring with 29 points and recorded 4 rebounds.
The Vikings scored 52 points in the paint, while defensively holding the Mustangs to 57 points on the night.
Coach Walker also took advantage of the opportunity to get plenty of guys into the rotation, the ECSU bench totaled 45 points. The Vikings controlled the led throughout the duration of the contest, but still struggled with minimizing turnovers.
The Vikings will be back in action on Saturday, December 4th
, at Kentucky State University. Tip-off is slated for 7 PM.
